This is a team camp but wrestlers will register and pay individually. Wrestlers can also attend this camp on their own. They will be assigned a team.
We recommend that athletes be grades 9-12 to compete in the Team Camp.
Camp Dates: June 9 - June 12, 2013
Location: Brookings S.D., South Dakota State University
Facility: Frost Arena
Check-in: June 9, 4 p.m.
Check-out: June 12, 11:30 a.m.
The team competition camp is designed for team building and dual meet competitions. Each wrestler will have the opportunity to wrestle between 10-15 matches during your time at camp. During the competition we will teach you how to mentally and physically prepare yourself to compete at the highest level. Dual competition will allow us to identify problem areas of your team and develop team specific plans to enhance your overall team performance.
We recommend that wrestlers are entering 9-12th grade. Advanced middle school wrestlers have attended and that is at the discretion of the team coach/team leader.
Wrestlers can also attend this camp on their own. They will be assigned a team. In the past the Jackrabbit wrestling camps have had teams from eight different states and we are working towards regaining a high level team camp.
Bring your pillows, blankets, linens, & towels, as they will not be provided at camp.
Other items to bring: wrestling shoes, running shoes, multiple changes of work-out clothes, soap & shampoo, head gear and mouthpiece is highly recommended. (Laundry facility is provided for your use in the dorms)
Transportation to and from camp is your responsibility.
Resident campers will be provided room and board. Commuter campers you must provide your own lodging and meals.
Teams who register 10 or more wrestlers will receive a refund at the camp.
