Kean Cougar Elite Skills Camp - July 27-29, 2014
Price = $225 if you register on or before May 26th. After May 26th $250.
The Cougar Elite Volleyball Camp will take place in Kean University’s beautiful Harwood Arena, and be staffed by experienced coaches, as well our certified athletic trainer, who is on site 24 hours a day.
This camp is open to overnight and commuting campers. Campers will receive 7 sessions of instruction on advanced volleyball skills including swing blocking, the slide, cut shots, the beach roll, the jump serve, etc, as well as intense training of footwork, passing, setting and other fundamental skills of volleyball. This camp is intended for players who are preparing to play varsity volleyball; or have played club volleyball at the 15’s level or higher. Players will check in between 11am-12pm on Sunday and checkout at 4pm on Tuesday.
Camp Staff
In just five years Head Coach Don Perkins has built both Kean’s men’s and women’s volleyball teams into championship programs. Perkins led the men’s team to Skyline Conference titles and NCAA appearances in both 2012 and 2013. He guided the women to the 2013 ECAC Metro/Upstate Championship. Before Kean Perkins was the assistant coach and Camp Director at Mississippi State, and has worked with the USA Volleyball High Performance Program.
Camp staff will also include current and former players at Kean University Registration Types Residential (Overnight) Campers will stay in the renovated Kean Residence Halls and enjoy Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our dining hall. Commuter Campers, are to be dropped off to Harwood Arena each morning at 8:30, and be picked up between 8:45 and 9pm. Commuters will be provided with buffet lunch and dinner daily. Camp Registration Rates - After July 22nd-Walk-up rate= $250. *Walk Up registration is pending available space in the camp, and are not guaranteed a camp shirt.
